    I think one of the most overlooked points on this list is the booking of the elevator. For buyers who are moving from a home and into a condo with a Friday closing, things can get real tricky. Most buyers don’t receive their keys until later afternoon and some condo buildings don’t book elevators past a certain time of the day. There have been instances where buyers have been stuck with moving trucks and no elevators to move their belongings.

    I just wanted to add that fulfilling the conditions of your mortgage commitment is equally important to ensure that the deal closes. Between the time you get approved for a mortgage and the day you receive your keys to the new condo, it’s important not to change or quit your job, take on more debt, miss any monthly payments, co-sign on someone’s loan, or worst of all, spend your down payment money!
